Dr. El Husseini graduated from McGill University (Montreal, Canada) with a BSc. and PhD. in Pharmacology, with a focus on developmental toxicology. He is currently a scientific evaluator at the Existing Substances Risk Assessment Bureau (ESRAB) at Health Canada, where he assesses the potential toxicological effects of various chemicals and substances in the environment and consumer products, and their risk to the health of the Canadian population. Dr. El Husseini has been involved in several national and international scientific efforts, including the development of OECD guidance documents, and the organization of scientific conferences with the Society of Toxicology of Canada (STC).
